The Fear of God come upon the Canaanites, and they do not Fight
1And all the kings of the Amorites came and took their stand in the field to
2And the Lord heard the prayers of Isaac and Jacob, and he filled the hearts
3Are you silly this day, or is there no understanding in you, that you will
4Behold two of them came to the city of Shechem without fear or terror, and
5Surely you know that their God is exceedingly fond of them, and has done
6Surely he delivered their father Abraham, the Hebrew, from the hand of
7He delivered him also from the fire in which king Nimrod had cast him, and
8And who else can do the like? surely it was Abraham who slew the five kings
9And took his servant that was faithful in his house and a few of his men,
10And surely you know the God of these Hebrews is much delighted with them,
11And behold through his love toward his God, Abraham took his only and
12And God saw all his works, and swore unto him, and promised him that he
13And have you not heard what their God did to Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to
14And behold, we ourselves saw with our eyes that Esau, the brother of
15And he went to meet him when he came from Syria, to smite the mother with
16Who does not know that it was their God who inspired them with strength to
17Could it then be with their own strength that two men could destroy such a
18And can you then prevail over them who have come forth together from your
19Surely you know and understand that you do not come to fight with them,
20Now therefore refrain from this evil which you are endeavoring to bring
21And when the kings of the Amorites heard all the words of their advisers,
22And they inclined their ears to the words of their advisers, and they
23And the kings turned and refrained from the sons of Jacob, for they durst
24For this proceeded from the Lord to them, for he heard the prayers of his
25And the sons of Jacob kept their station that day till evening opposite
